Backpacking Background:
I'm in Montana where I'm enjoying the summers and becoming re-acquainted with winter.  Now that I'm back above the snow line, I'm attempting some winter camping and snowshoeing.  I'm a lightweight backpacker mentally, if not always in practice.  My summer pack weight is around 19 lb (9 kg) with a tent, but my winter pack weight hovers around 25 lb (11 kg).

Cozy Cover Description:
The Cozy Cover is a neoprene shell meant to protect a tinfoil and bubble wrap pot cozy from abrasion and sharp objects in a pack.  It may also increase the cozy's insulation value during use.  This Cozy Cover is designed to be used with the AntiGravityGear 3-cup (700 mL) pot.  The Cozy Cover is made of two parts, a base and a lid, that zip together.  The base and lid are permanently attached at the back, so the lid does not zip all the way off.  The pieces that make up the Cozy Cover are stitched together and are advertised to be glued as well.

First Impressions:
The Cozy Cover is very cute and very blue.  An AntiGravityGear logo is printed on the front.  The Cozy Cover is made of  0.1" (2 mm) neoprene and smells like it.  The seams are sewn together using a zig-zag stitch.  It appears to be well made, but I can't tell by looking at the seams if they are glued as well as stitched.   The Cozy Cover fits tightly over the AntiGravityGear 3-cup pot and its cozy, and there is a little bit of a struggle to get it on.  The 3-cup pot is approximately 2½" (6.4 cm) tall, the cozy is 3¾" (9.5 cm) tall, and the Cozy Cover is 4" (10.2 cm) tall. There's about 1½" (3.8 cm) of storage space between the pot's lid and the top of the Cozy Cover.

Expectations from Website:
From the website I thought that the Cozy Cover lid would zip all of the way off.  This isn't the case.  I'm actually relieved that the lid isn't detachable,so I can't lose it.  The website states that there's enough room between the top of the pot and the top of the Cozy Cover to store items such as a lifter handle, camp towel and other kitchen gear.  This is true.  I can fit the lifter handle, a bandanna, a lighter, and some tea easily between the cozy lid and the Cozy Cover lid.  The neoprene stretches, so more can fit than I first thought.  With some work, I can also fit in a packet of Ramen noodles and my Lexan spork.  The spork is a little too long to fit easily and the Ramen takes up a lot of the available space, so this amount of stuff doesn't fit comfortably.  Although I can get the Cozy Cover zipped, it is warped out of shape and there are obvious stress points, so I won't be storing this much stuff in the top of the cozy during testing.
Can it fit? It's a stretch.
Test Plan:
I will test the Cozy Cover along the trails of Montana and Wyoming.   I will see how well the Cozy Cover protects the cozy, and I will find out if it provides more insulation than the cozy by itself.
