Initial Impressions: The Cup 2 go arrived via FedEx in a rather large box. Inside the box were 2 cups. On one of the neoprene cozies, there is the Cup 2 go logo along with their website. On the second cup, there is a "Your Name Here" logo along with your own website url. I see it as an interesting promotion item. On the bottom of both cozies there is the website for Big Sky Products. There was no packing, nor information included in with the cups, nor a reason for why there are 2. I have decided that 2 were sent for testing to show that you can use these for promotional purposes. I have to admit to being disappointed when seeing the item for the first time. The plastic rim on one cup is extremely rough where the mold must have not closed properly or been cut properly from another cup. The handle is also a bit on the sharp side. Comparing this cup with a titanium cup is a little misleading. In reading their features, they do not say that it is comparable to a titanium cup, but the fact they mention the titanium cup led me to think it would be a viable alternative. I was thinking along the lines of the titanium cup's appearance even though I knew this cup was plastic. I guess I was expecting something more along the lines of the Lexan® cups I have seen. However, once I got past that initial impression, I have come to the conclusion it is as the website states. I have shaved the rough spots off and smoothed the handle so it doesn't cut into my hand using my pocketknife. Test Plan: I will be using this cup as my primary cup in all my hikes that are planned and unplanned. It will mostly be used for hot drinks (coffee and hot chocolate) and cups of soups. I will also use it to measure my water for my freeze-dried meals. I am interested in seeing how well it holds up to a lot of use and how well the neoprene cozy works in keeping my drinks hot. I will report on how easily both the neoprene and the cup is cleaned. The cup has rings inside that show where the markings are for each measurement. Things I like: It's lightweight. The cozy fits pretty good and although it removes easily it stays in place while lifting the cup. Things I dislike: It was rather rough and also a bit disappointing upon first look. The cup is EXACTLY 1 cup (8 oz/227 g) which gives no room for adding coffee, hot chocolate, or soups to the cup. The beverage or soup will need to be made in the cook pot and then poured into the cup. The cup would be a little better, in my opinion, if the cup was just even an eighth inch/.32 cm higher. The added weight would be negligible, again in my own opinion, compared to the convenience to being able to make the drink/soup in the cup Read more reviews of Big Sky International gear Read more gear reviews by Jodi Cornelius Reviews > Cook Gear > Cooking Accessories > Big Sky Products Cup 2 Go > Jodi Cornelius > Initial Report | |||||||||||||||
