BACKPACKING BACKGROUND
Over the last several years, I have become an ultralight camper with a three-season base pack weight of about 17 lb (8 kg) and skin out weight of 25 lb (11 kg). I have completed many section hikes on the Appalachian Trail (AT) in all four seasons, with a total mileage of about 850 miles (1370 km). I am a gearhead, a hammock camper, and I make much of my own equipment.

FIELD CONDITIONS
I used the Cup 2 go for twenty hiking days and nights on the AT since my last report and carried it for 280 mi (450 km). I used it for morning coffee, as my outside-the-pack cup to enjoy drinks from springs along the trail, and at the end of the day I used it to measure the water for my evening meal.

REVIEW

The Cup 2 go is a plastic cup with handle, marked in quarter cups with lines and printing on the inside surface of the cup. The plastic cup is surrounded by a neoprene exterior cozy that covers the bottom and 3/4 of the side of the cup.  This neoprene is 1/8 in (3 mm) thick and has been butt-welded at a seam on the side and around the bottom of the cozy.  A small hole in the center of the bottom allows air or liquids to flow through the cozy, making it easy to put the cozy on or remove it.

For a detailed description of the Cup 2 go, a good source is my Initial Report.

I could not be more pleased with the plastic cup portion of the Cup 2 go. I have used it routinely for morning coffee and just plain cold water from more springs than I can remember.  It is light and durable.  It has a pleasing feel to my hand.
I use the cup every day while hiking and keep it in one of my pack's exterior pouches so that I can reach it easily when I cross a clear spring on the trail.

The cup's plastic surface cleans easily and has not been stained by any liquid I have put in it.  It has not been warped or melted by hot water.  The markings on the inside surface of the cup have remained easy to see and easy to use.

The insulating neoprene cover has not proved to be of much practical use.  As described in my Field Report, it does little to keep hot contents of the cup hot.  There is just too much surface area of the surface of the liquid for any insulation around the sides and bottom to do much.  The cup is also easy to hold without burning my fingers, even when full of boiling hot water.  I carried the insulator for 180 mi (290 km) but never found a need to use it as a cup insulator.  (I did use it to protect my pack from the sharp ends of my tarp stakes - an unintended use for which it worked very well.)

This cup is a permanent addition to my ultralight pack.

In my Initial Report I asked the following questions:
- Is the cup durable in the backpacking environment? Yes. No cracks, no breaks, works well with cold and hot water.
- Does it work to use my finger as shown above to keep the cozy on? No problem with using the insulator - just absence of a need for the insulator.
- Is it easy to keep the cup clean? Yes.  It washes well and cleans well with leaf mulch, dust, or sand.
- Does the lettering remain readable over the long haul?  Yes.  The lettering never peeled or looked any different from when I received it.
