TESTER INFORMATION

I grew up camping in Pennsylvania but most of my camping and all of my backpacking has been in the last 2 years in North Carolina. I really got excited about backpacking when my son started to get interested in it. I do some car camping but most trips will be backpacking with my son for 1-3 nights. I use a tent as my typical shelter. I try to get out about 12 times a year. I like to keep my pack under 35 lb (15.88 kg) and hope to adopt some ultralight skills and equipment.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS

I received two boxes of bars. One in the original flavor and one in the chocolate flavor. The boxes look like store display boxes. Everything I received was in perfect condition.

Upon initial inspection of the bars I noticed the ingredient list had a bunch of stuff on it that I have never eaten and never thought I would eat like Organic Spirulina and Organic Flax Lignans. I am a fast food kind of guy and typically do not look for the healthiest food to eat.

I broke out one of each flavor for initial taste testing. Although the chocolate did taste good I like the original better.

Product Description

The Original flavor is very tasty. It has a bunch of flavors combined with none of them overpowering the others. In one bite I can really taste the cashews, almonds, sunflower seeds and the next bite the taste of coconut and pineapple jumps out. The bar is full of flavor.

The Chocolate flavor has a lot of the same flavors as the original but the chocolate seems to overpower the other great flavors. This is still a good tasting bar but not as exciting as the original.
