Subject:        Walrus Tent - Zoid 2.0,   First Report
Hello,
Was pleasantly surprised when the Walrus Zoid 2.0 arrived UPS this evening.  It had been backordered until May 15th.  It arrived in excellent condition.

We set the tent up very easily in the Living room (not reading the directions until after the fact). We used "whatever" to hold the corners down, I was anxious to see how two people fit. It had the feeling of spaciousness, more so than the Sierra Design Flashlite but not as much as the Sierra Design Meteorlite.  My daughter and I put in the sleeping pads and bags and crawled in.

First impression - what great "entries' to get in the tent, one on each side, no crawling over the other person. There appears to be more room in this tent around the shoulder and head area.  We could both sit upright very easily, I am 5'8" tall.   Also noted the great gear pockets attached at each side and one over our head.

We did drape the fly over the tent, this will make a good size vestibule on each side for gear and with easy access from inside the tent.

Tomorrow, I will be off to the Post Office to weigh the tent and on Saturday set it up outside and use the stakes etc.  We plan to use it for 5 days at the end of this month on our first hiking trip of this year.  Will give the second report after this weekend.

Cheers,
Marge Prothman, (the old gal)
